Celebrating Local Food in 2011

The Green Valley Grocer, The Handmade Bakery and Marsden and Slaithwaite Transition Towns and Edibles are working together to put together this celebration and exploration of local food in our valley.

Events include an a local food fair, which will include a produce swap, competitions and live music, food and info about growing, cooking and eating; bakery demos; an open afternoon at the Colne Valley Pig Cooperative, and much more.

We hope that this festival will give us all an opportunity to celebrate what is already being grown and made locally, whilst looking to a future where even more of our food will be locally grown and produced.
